Monday Made It!

Hello all! Well I am a little late on my Monday Made It, but here it goes.  First of all. my summer break is flying by!! It wont be too long before I have to start getting my classroom ready.  Anyway, I found a lot of goodies at Dollar Tree last week!  My Dollar Tree is on the other side of the town that I live in, so half of the time I forget that I have one! Below are pictures of what I found!

Here are some books that I picked at Dollar  Tree as well. Can you believe that? Books like this for $1?
Now here are some things I picked up for writing activities.  The "My Story" templates open up so that the kiddos can write their own story.  There are 10 to each package!

Amazon Deal!! I love Amazon!! I am a Prime Member, so I receive 2-day shipping for FREE!  You can try out Amazon Prime for 30 days HERE
These pencils are only $1.99 for a box of 12! HERE is the link to purchase.

Our school has adopted a new math curriculum. So, I am trying to plan my activities that will go with it.  Let's talk Math Workshop for just a minute.  Here is how I have done it in the past:
Warm-Up(5-10 min.)
Mini lesson(20 min.)
First Small Group(15 min)
Second Small Group (15 min)
Wrap Up (5 min.)
I have used a schedule like this when I only have 1 hour for Math.  Now there a million ways to teach math.  I have done a little differently each year.  Now that I am in third grade, I will be able to have a longer math block. What do you do during your math block? Please comment below!!

Monday Made It!

I absolutely love SUMMER!  My kids and I have had so much fun! Between water parks, swimming pools, and the Buffalo River, we have stayed busy!  I am so blessed to live where I do.  I am minutes away from the Buffalo River(if you haven't been you need to go and enjoy it).

I have been able to get a little crafty this summer with help from Brittany at aDOORable Life. First I made a really simple American Flag flower pot.  Then, I made some flameless fireworks.  Super simple, but so CUTE!

I also made some Flameless Fireworks by aDOORable Life.  She has such fun ideas!  It was very simple!   You can watch her video on how to make them HERE.

Since the 4th of July is about here, my store will be 20% off!! Happy Fourth! Click HERE to view my store!

Monday Made It!

Well, I have to say that the first thing that I am so happy about  is finally getting some much needed housework done on Monday(MLK Day)!  My kitchen cabinets needed a full scrubbing, and that is what they got!  They are white cabinets, so dirt and grim show up easily!

Our school has been tackling the Next Generation Science Standards.  My fourth grade team created an entire unit addressing a couple of these standards.  I have found some amazing resources that are VERY helpful.  First, is Mystery Science.  I have fell in love with this website.  It goes above and beyond!  It is normally $90 a year per subscription, but I am using a it for free for a year!  You can sign for free for the remainder of the school year if you want to give it a test run!  If anyone else has used this website, please leave a comment!

AMAZON, AMAZON, AMAZON!
Well, I don't know about your, but I am obsessed with AMAZON.  I am an AMAZON PRIME member which allows you to have FREE two day shipping.   Here was my latest purchase:
Hot Dot Pens
I have the entire 4th Grade Common Core Math Hot Dot collection.  My fourth graders love these, so I purchased more pens.  They are wonderful for a center or independent practice!

Neenah Astrobrights Premium Color Paper Assortment, 24 lb, 8.5 x 11 Inches, 500 Sheets, CheerfulAstrobrights Paper
I use this paper all of the time!  It is so nice to have these on hand!
